Lyons Rural Fire Protection District (Lyons RFPD) is currently hiring for 2 Full -Time Entry- Level FF/ Paramedic Position, and Multiple Paramedics PRN positions.

About the District

The Lyons Rural Fire Protection District offers a wide range of emergency services to a diverse service area of 23 square miles and an Ambulance Service Area of approximately 1000sq miles. The District responds to roughly 1000 calls a year with 85% being medical in nature. The diverse geographical terrain and size of the District provides a wide variety of call types and complexity.

Lyons Fire District will be accepting applications beginning June 5, 2024, and will be open until the position is filled. Initial application review will begin June 15, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Oregon Paramedic license (or ability to obtain by date of hire)
  • NFPA Firefighter I (or IFSAC or Pro Board FF-I and eligible for reciprocity)
  • NFPA Driver (or IFSAC or Pro Board Driver and eligible for reciprocity)
  • Haz-Mat Operations level
  • ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 (all courses are available on-line)
  • Valid Oregon Class C driver’s license (or ability to obtain)

 All qualified applicants are invited to apply. Benefits for full-time positions include health insurance, paid sick leave, PERS retirement and paid vacation and holiday leave. Uniforms and personal protective equipment are supplied. Full-Time Entry-Level FF/P work schedule is 24-72 rotation. Pay is based on an hourly wage with an annual salary range $60,000.00- 64,000.00.Part Time Single role positions wage is $23.00/hr. with flexible scheduling.
