Job Title: Full-Time Patrol Officer

Position Summary:

The Miles Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full-Time Patrol Officer. This role is essential to maintaining the safety and security of the City of Miles through proactive patrol, response to service calls, and enforcement of state and local laws. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a United States citizen and at least 21 years of age

• Possess a current Texas Peace Officer license in good standing, issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum of two (2) years full-time experience as a Texas Peace Officer in a patrol or comparable assignment

• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Must successfully complete a rigorous background investigation and oral interview

• Willingness to maintain an "on-call" status outside of scheduled hours

• Must reside within, or near enough to, the City of Miles to provide a reasonable response time to primary calls for service

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting wage: $18.50 per hour

• After 6 months: $19.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
