STOWE TOWNSHIP POLICE OFFICER APPLICATION
Applications are now being accepted by the Civil Service Commission for the position of Full-time Police Officer in the Township of Stowe, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Applications may be obtained at the Municipal building, Township Secretary’s Office, 555 Broadway Avenue, McKees Rocks, Pa. 15136, between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, in person or www.stowetwp.net (download application). Application fee in the amount of $40.00 (nonrefundable), payable to Stowe Township and is due at the time completed application is submitted. Deadline for submitting a completed application, (in person only), with driver’s license and Act 120 ID or proof attending a police academy presently, shall be 4:00 pm, on Friday, January 24, 2025. Physical Agility Test will be at the Stowe Township Municipal Building, 555 Broadway Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA. 15136, on Thursday, February 6, 2025 @ 9:00 am. Check in time 8:30 am. Written Exam to follow for those who pass the physical agility test.
Requirements: Certified Act 120 PA(MPOETC), or shall have successfully completed Act 120 training and passed the final exam, thus being eligible for Act 120 Certification once offered a position by the Township, (submit copy), US Citizen and age 21 by the deadline above, 1-24-2025, High School Diploma or GED, Valid drivers license, (PA license prior to appointment), Physically and Mentally Fit to perform the duties as a police officer and valid honorable discharge copy of DD-214 if claiming Veteran’s preference.
